Mother Shipton’s Cave Voted ‘Best Magical Experience’ in 2026 Little Vikings Awards
England’s oldest tourist attraction, Mother Shipton’s Cave, has been named Best Magical Experience in the 2026 Little Vikings – York for Kids Awards, following an online vote by families in and around York.
This is the second year running that Mother Shipton’s has received this accolade, reflecting the team’s dedication to creating enchanting experiences for families.
The Little Vikings Awards celebrate the very best family-friendly activities and attractions across York and the surrounding areas. Each year, families are invited to nominate their favourite places before voting for shortlisted finalists.
Mother Shipton’s Cave was shortlisted alongside fellow finalists The Wizard Walk of York, Potions Class at The Potions Academy, The Hole in Wand, and The Puzzling World of Professor Kettlestring.
Following the public vote, Mother Shipton’s Cave was officially announced as the winner on 15 January 2026.
