NEW – CHRISTMAS EXPERIENCE!
Mother Shipton’s is opening for the first time during the Christmas Period. Children can visit Santa and enjoy a magical Christmas experience.
Tickets can be purchased ONLINE ONLY HERE.
PLEASE NOTE – Only part of the park near the main entrance is open for this event. Visitors WILL NOT have access to the Cave, Petrifying Well, or adventure playground.
Children meet Santa, then choose from an array of wonderful gifts in his Toy Shop. Be greeted by the Head Elf for story time and don’t forget to bring your camera for a photo opportunity in Santa’s Sleigh! Create a wish to hang on Mother Shipton’s Wishing Tree and post a letter to the North Pole. As you take in the magical surroundings treat yourself to hot drinks, mince pies, and pizza. Children can also buy and decorate their very own Christmas treat.

The park WILL NOT be open for general admission.

Visit Santa at Mother Shipton’s – Tickets can be booked every 15 minutes. Times vary depending on the day you would like to visit. The last available time to book is 7.15pm with closing time 8pm. Spaces are limited, don’t miss out! BOOK NOW.

WHERE CAN I PARK?
Visitors can park at Conyngham Hall which is across from the entrance to Mother Shipton’s. We DO NOT have parking facilities on site during the Christmas event. WHAT IS INVOLVED IN THE CHRISTMAS EXPERIENCE?
Children will meet Santa and then choose a Christmas present from an array of wonderful gifts in his workshop. They will be greeted by the Head Elf for story time and there will be a photo opportunity in Santa’s Sleigh – don’t forget to bring your camera! Children can also create a wish to hang on Mother Shipton’s Wishing Tree and post a letter to the North Pole. As the light fades, the experience will become even more enchanting with magical Christmas lights. For an additional cost you can also enjoy a hot drink with a mince pie or slice of pizza, or toast marshmallows over a festive fire pit. Visitors can finish off their day with a browse in our Christmas Shop.
IS MOTHER SHIPTON’S CAVE OPEN DURING THE CHRISTMAS EVENT?
No, only part of the site is open for the event. Visitors WILL NOT have access to Mother Shipton’s Cave, Petrifying Well or adventure playground.
CAN I PURCHASE A CHRISTMAS EXPERIENCE TICKET IN-STORE OR ON THE DAY?
No, we can only accept online bookings in advance. Bookings can be made up until midnight on the evening before a visit.
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR THE CHRISTMAS EXPERIENCE?
Please arrive half an hour before your booked time slot. This ensures you have enough time to experience the activities within Santa’s Grotto.
IS THE EVENT UNDERCOVER?
Santa’s Grotto is located inside, however, the rest of the event is outside. We recommend you wrap up warm with sensible footwear.
ARE DOGS ALLOWED?
Dogs are NOT allowed in any area of the site during Christmas opening hours.
WHAT FACILITIES DO YOU OFFER?
Toilets with baby changing facilities.
Food and drink with sheltered outdoor seating on picnic benches.
